“Our needs, desires and expression are not in the way of relating with others, they’re bridges of connection. ”

- Martina
The “bridge circle” is a gathering of women who want to be in a community where they can repair their relationship with expression through being in their bodies and communicate their needs and desires in a judgment-free space.
The goal is to learn to rewire our nervous system so we can express what we need and desire without censoring and shrinking ourselves.
We meet ONLINE once a week for 12 weeks to build spaces of trust and joy, to practice compassionate communication and listening, to reveal our own wants and needs in the community and to enjoy our time together, TO BELONG.

The space is facilitated by me and every participant is respected and included.

I do not offer medical or psychological treatment.
Please consider me as a supportive guide, not a licensed therapist.

Who is this for?

  • If you feel like you're hiding your struggles quietly,
  • you're performing wellness so no one in your life has to worry about you,
  • you're making yourself small when you feel like taking up space,
  • you judge the way your body looks, performs, feels like
  • you're holding other people's feeling and emotions as if it was your job,
  • you apologize even before you've done anything,
  • you instantly feel shame when you communicate any kind of need.

I've been this woman, sometimes I am still. It's exhausting and extremely taxing to my nervous system to keep myself this TAMED. For a long while I believed that the solution was to always remove myself from situations and relationships that would trigger any of these patterns or feelings. And that worked, at times, I truly realized that changing the narrative and the patterns of self-abandonment and shrinking could not happen in isolation alone.

I learned that I can take my time to process what happens in relationships with others and IT'S NECESSARY and LIFECHANGING to be in an environment where I can express myself, be witnessed and communicate what impacts me and what I need.
This communication doesn't come with pretense or expectation, it begins and ends with the heart.
Join us, we're all moving through life with a human body that is always in relationship with and welcomed by the world around us.

Why do I want to create this space?

MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE AND THE GOALS OF THE BRIDGE CIRCLES

A while ago I created a community of women who learned to hold space for each other and it was a very magical experience for me. I’ve learned a lot during that time and made many mistakes which taught me how important it is to set a clear container to hold space for whatever is shared. I wish I had more facilitating tools at that time and I miss that community very much.

Since then I’ve studied different facilitating frameworks and participated in different circles. I know in my body how healing and empowering is to be part of a community where you feel welcomed and held. That’s one of the reasons why I want to create this space.

For a long while I believed that being hyper independent or complacent were the solutions to the struggles I was facing socially.

I thought that the only way to belong was to shrink myself to feel accepted, to suppress my needs and to make others feel comfortable around me. I learned that there are many different ways people interact with each other and I can gently build safety within my body whenever I’m with others. I learned that my needs, desires and energies are not in the way of connecting to others, they’re the bridge of connection along with genuine curiosity.

Personal sovereignty is about belonging to and inhabiting ourselves while engaging with others. Being a sovereign woman is not about hyperindependence, it’s about interconnectedness and learning to FIRSTLY take up space to hold space for others. And we can practice that only in community.

The goals of the Bridge Circles are: to practice personal sovereignty in relationship with others, to reconnect with our body, inner strength, and creativity through relationship explorations, ecosomatic awareness and compassionate communication.

THE CONTAINER: Read carefully the following GUIDELINES and agreements BEFORE SIGNING UP

Personal responsibility: We are here to practice revealing our own wants and needs in community, to practice compassionate listening and inclusion, to build spaces of trust and joy. You are 100% responsible for yourself. Although I have training in different facilitation frameworks and self-organizing practices of empowerment and compassion, no one here is offering therapeutic advice.

Confidentiality: Personal stories of the participants must not be shared outside without permission.

Find a place where you can speak freely and where other people don’t see your screen nor hear what is shared during the meeting.

Everything shared in the group stays in the group. No audio/video recording will be taken during the session.

Building trust: I invite you to come to every session of the circle you join for 12 weeks in order to create a space of trust and a sense of continuity. If you are unable to attend the weekly meeting, you can let me know by sending me an email at info@wegrowild.com.

Political and religious views: Since this circle is an inclusive and respectful space where many people from around the world with different backgrounds come together to build community and trust, I highly encourage you to speak from your own personal LIVED experience rather than from political views/heard of theories and/or religious beliefs.

This is not the setting to engage in debates on what is right or wrong theoretically nor to convert or attempt to convert (someone) from one religion, belief, or opinion to another.

I will intervene and interrupt conversations that are not conducive to the group’s growth and cohesion.

If you need to step away before our 12 weeks are up, please tell me as soon as possible. This gives the group enough time to adjust and ensures a smooth transition for everyone.

This is not a replacement for creating and tending in-person spaces. This space is meant as an addition to your already complex in-person relationships world.

Be careful to not pedestalize me and, if you experience some triggers and issues that take over your experience in the group and you don’t know how to reveal them in the group, I invite you to reach out to me personally.

Online Technical Etiquette

  • Time Management: Please always arrive on time.
  • Use Video: Have the camera on to see facial expressions and body language, which builds connection and trust. If possible, access from a computer so you can see all the participants.
  • Mute When Not Speaking: If there’s background noise, mute your microphone when you are not speaking.
  • Chat Usage: Use the chat for technical issues (or for example “going to the bathroom”), writing down contacts or links but avoid using it to create a parallel conversation that distracts from the speaker.
  • Tech Test: Join a few minutes early to ensure video/audio works.
  • Consent: If the session is to be recorded, it must be with the explicit permission of all participants.
